Links to September's HELP Webinar

More than 500 people registered for the HELP webinar on September 25, 2019 featuring Minnesota Department of Education Dyslexia Specialist, Dr. Amy Schulting. She presented an overview of updates and changes to Minnesota education laws concerning dyslexia:

(1) Minnesota schools must screen students for signs of dyslexia; and

(2) Teacher preparation programs must provide instruction to teachers in training in applying evidence-based, structured reading instruction and identifying students with dyslexia.

Dr. Schulting also responded to questions submitted by dyslexia discussion groups held throughout the state during the summer.
